How TireTiles are Made
State-of-the-art recycling technology transforms discarded tires into premium entrance flooring.
Source Materials
TireTiles are manufactured from recycled heavy-duty truck and aircraft tires.
Ply Layer Processing
The bias ply layers of the tires are constructed of strong nylon or polyester cord, sandwiched between sheets of rubber.
Strip & Bond
The rubber is cut into strips, rotated to expose the cut ends of the cord, and then bonded to a base layer.
Chenille Finish
The surface is then buffed to a chenille-like finish creating the attractive and super-resilient face of TireTiles.
The Result: Chenille-Like Surface
The rugged brushed nylon surface is a mixture of earth tones that complement practically any design scheme. TireTiles offer both durability and rugged good looks.
- Slip-resistant even when soaking wet
- Comfortable to walk on
- Withstands the heaviest wear

Installation & Maintenance Guide
Simple installation process and low maintenance requirements make TireTiles an ideal choice.
Recommended Adhesive
Chemrex CX 990 (BASF) - polyurethane adhesive
Suitable Surfaces
Smooth, dry interior or exterior surfaces
Installation Types
Cure Time
72-96 hours for exterior installations
Installation Notes
- Adhesive needs to be applied only to one surface
- Allows repositioning of the tile during installation
- Tiles can easily be trimmed for borders or hard-to-fit areas
General Cleaning
Power vacuum or sweep as needed to remove loose dirt. Daily vacuuming may be needed for heavy traffic areas. Outdoor installations can be cleaned by hosing.
Shampoo or Steam Cleaning
To restore original finish when surface becomes heavily soiled, scrubbing with a commercial type shampoo machine and vacuuming is recommended.
Removing Stains
Mixture of strong concentration of detergent and any commercial bleach product like Clorox, Purex and others can be used. Scrub vigorously with hand brush. Vacuum dry surface to remove dampness.
Removing Cigarette Burns
For light burns, a coarse wire brush can be used. For severely burned tiles, remove the burned tile from the floor, scrape the old adhesive from the floor surface and install a replacement tile.
Pro Tip
For heavy traffic areas, daily vacuuming is recommended to maintain the appearance and extend the life of your TireTiles installation. Outdoor installations can simply be hosed down for quick cleaning.
